Each service below is described in plain terms so you can see where your damage fits. If you are not sure, send photographs to 07939 755264 on WhatsApp for a free, no obligation quote and we will tell you which one you need. If a job is not worth doing, we will say so.
It comes down to how much of the car is affected. A smart repair treats a small area of one panel, so a scuffed bumper corner, a scratched door or a dinged wing is ideal. Once the damage crosses several panels, or the paint is failing generally rather than in one spot, a full respray is the honest answer. Send photographs and we will tell you which you need.
Detailing is the wider job of decontaminating, cleaning, polishing and protecting the car. Paint correction is the machine polishing stage that removes the swirls and light scratches that make dark paint look hazy in sunlight. Neither adds paint, so a scratch deep enough to catch a fingernail needs a repair and refinish instead.
Paintless dent removal works when the paint is unbroken, the dent is up to roughly 75mm and there is access behind the panel. It is the simpler of the two routes because no filler, paint or booth time is involved. Once the paint has cracked, or the dent sits on a sharp crease or panel edge, it becomes a paint repair with colour matching and blending. We will tell you which one you have before you commit to anything.
Yes, and it is better said now. There is no ceramic coating, diamond cutting or powder coating here, so a diamond cut wheel face is refinished in paint instead. All work is carried out at our Bury St Edmunds workshop, and quotes are done from photographs on WhatsApp. We do not take on heavy structural or chassis work, mechanical work, servicing or MOTs, and we will tell you straight away if a job is beyond what we do.
If the metal is still there and simply misshapen, it is a bodywork repair: straightening, filling where necessary and refinishing. If it has rotted through, particularly on sills, arches or floors, it is a welding job, because filler laid over rust always comes back. Send photographs and you will get a straight answer on which you have.
