Twenty two years on the tools means we have seen most things twice. We can tell you quickly whether a panel is worth repairing or genuinely needs replacing, and we will say plainly when a job is not worth doing.
Spraying and painting happen in our own booth on site, where temperature, airflow and moisture are controlled while the paint goes on and cures. That allows us to achieve quality results, and it is why customers travel in from across Suffolk and Cambridge.
Your paint code gives us the original formula, but not how your car has weathered. We mix to the code, spray a test card and check it against the panel by eye, then blend into the next panel where needed so the repair does not show.
Whether the accident was your fault or not, we guide you through the claim from start to finish and handle the paperwork with insurers on your behalf. You can request that your car is repaired by us. Just tell your insurer when you make the claim.

Smart Spray Bodywork is an independent car bodyshop with 22 years in the car body repair trade, and all of the work happens at our own workshop in Bury St Edmunds.
You may know us as Smart Spray Car Care. The name changed to Smart Spray Bodywork to describe the full range of work we take on, but it is the same people and the same phone number.
It is a working bodyshop rather than a showroom: a prep area where panels are flatted and masked, a bay for panel and plastic repair, and a clean, controlled spray booth at the back.
Having our own booth was a deliberate choice. Paint only cures properly when temperature, airflow and moisture are under control, and the booth allows us to achieve quality results on every job, from a bumper corner to a full respray.
