Parking scuffs, reversing scrapes, trolley marks, key scratches and paint gone dull with age. Almost all of it sits in the paint or the top of the plastic, which is where a repair works best.

Scrapes, cracks and small holes are usually repairable by plastic welding, filling and refinishing. Replacement is the right call when the bumper cannot be made sound, or a repair would interfere with sensors. We will tell you which.
Plastic flexes where steel does not, so bumper paint carries a flexible additive and cures differently. Many bumpers also leave the factory a shade off the panels beside them, so getting one right means blending into its neighbours, not just matching a code. That is where 22 years in the trade shows.

Every bumper is refinished in our dedicated booth, where temperature, airflow and moisture are controlled and the light lets us judge colour properly. Dust and moisture in the air spoil paint as it cures, and the booth allows us to achieve quality results.

How deep the scuff goes decides most of it, along with whether the bumper has to come off and whether a metallic needs blending into the wing. Send a photo to 07939 755264 for a free, no obligation quote.

Minor damage is repaired with the bumper on the car. Extensive damage means taking it off and painting it away from the vehicle so the colour wraps around the edges. Light scratches or dull gloss can sometimes be wet sanded and machine polished rather than repainted. We are happy to assess and advise.
We assess the bumper in good light and give you an honest opinion on repairing or replacing.
Colour is mixed to your paint code and checked on a test card against your bumper before we commit.
The new paint is blended into the panels either side, then flatted and polished to an even finish.
We sit just off the A11 and A14, with customers from Mildenhall, Newmarket, Thetford, Stowmarket, Haverhill, Ely and Cambridge. Bumper scuffs are the classic end of lease charge, and a regular job for the dealers and fleets we look after.
Send a photo of the damage to 07939 755264 on WhatsApp for a free, no obligation quote.
Tell us how it happened and whether there are sensors nearby, and we will advise on repairing or replacing.
Once you are happy we book the car in and give you a realistic timeframe.
If the scuff is small and contained, a Smart Repair may be all you need. If the damage runs into the wing, see Bodywork Repairs. Returning a lease car? See End of Lease Repairs. We do not judge, we just fix it.

Depth first. A scuff in the lacquer is a far smaller job than one through the colour into the plastic, and taking the bumper off adds to it. Send a photo for a free, no obligation quote.
Usually repaired. Cracks, splits and small holes are plastic welded, filled and refinished, which is almost always cheaper than a new painted bumper. Replacement is the answer when the bumper cannot be made sound.
Sometimes. If the scratch sits only in the clear coat and your fingernail does not catch in it, wet sanding and machine polishing can take it out. Once it is through into the colour it needs filling and refinishing.
Yes. We mix to your paint code, check a test card in daylight, then blend outwards into the panels either side in the booth so there is no visible step.
Yes, and it is more common than people expect. A key mark is taken back to sound material, primed, coloured, lacquered and blended in. If it carries on into a wing or door, see Bodywork Repairs.
Usually not. Most bumper repairs cost less than a typical excess, and paying yourself means no claim on your policy, so your no claims discount and renewal premium are not affected. If you do claim, you can request that your car is repaired here.
Bumper corners and scratched doors are the bread and butter of our week, and they arrive from every direction: multi storey scuffs from Bury St Edmunds, tight car park knocks from Cambridge, and hedge and verge scrapes from villages around Ixworth and Stowmarket.
