Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your phone or computer. They let a site remember things between pages and visits, such as a choice you made or whether you are signed in. Similar technologies, such as local storage, do the same job and are covered by this policy in the same way. The rules on cookies come from the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, and they mean that we need your consent before setting any cookie that is not strictly necessary for the site to work.
This site is deliberately light. It does not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies, and it does not follow you around other websites. The only thing it stores on your device is a record of the choice you made in the cookie banner, so that we do not keep asking you.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Type | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ssb_consent | Smart Spray Bodywork | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected non essential cookies, so the banner does not appear on every page. | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
Strictly necessary cookies do not need your consent, but we tell you about them here so that you know exactly what is happening. Our hosting provider, Webflow, does not set any cookies on this site.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Google Ads, heatmap or session recording tools, or any other third party tracking. If we ever add a tool like that, it will only run if you choose Accept in the cookie banner, it will be listed in the table above with its name, purpose and lifetime, and the date at the top of this page will be updated. Rejecting cookies will never stop you using the site, sending us photos or getting a quote.
The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers receive your IP address when the page loads in order to deliver the font files. Google states that it does not use this to set cookies or to track you. The WhatsApp button on the site is a plain link and does not load anything from WhatsApp until you choose to tap it.
You can change your cookie choice at any time by using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page, which brings the banner back. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block cookies entirely or clear them for a particular site; the help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge explain how. Clearing the ssb_consent cookie simply means the banner will ask you again on your next visit.
How we handle personal information more generally is set out in our privacy policy. Independent guidance on cookies is available from the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. If you have any questions, phone or WhatsApp 07939 755264 or use the contact form.
We only use one cookie, and that is to remember your choice here. We do not currently run analytics or advertising cookies; if we ever add any, they will only run if you accept. See our cookie policy and privacy policy.
